Opinion essay: Best ways of coocking.

In the last years, there had been an incredible increase of people who cook in Spain, and it is easy to realize that this fact has been provoked by the mass media. These programs have made a huge rise of people who cook with chemical products, and it is not as adequate method of cooking as our country is used to having in all our history.

 We could see this impact growth in the development of programs such as “Master Chef” and “Top Chef”, among others. These programs have been created because they are watched by a wide variety of people, from children to adults of all ages, and they provide tremendous amounts of money owing to they generate a great expectation. Nevertheless, they have made that Spanish people tend to cook more with chemical products that they used to.

In these programs it is usual to see meals that have been produced by the intervention of chemical products, like nitrogen, instead of cooking them with natural products. It has not to be advisable to freeze a product in 5 seconds with a chemical at temperatures below 100 degrees. I am not a doctor, but as I see it, it is healthier to eat natural products and meals that have not been manipulated by these kinds of chemicals.

 I would also like to highlight that if you have never seen somebody doing mayonnaise, it is crazy to think that it is possible to do it with an egg, oil, a pinch of salt and some lemon juice. It is awesome how nature is! There is no chemical products on its mixture, it is only the result of the combination of four natural products. Thus, these types of creations have to be healthier and they have to contain a lot of more vitamins and minerals that support us than creations such as the ones which I had appointed in the last paragraph.

All in all, it is understandable that people like to watch TV programs such as “Master Chef” due to the fact that they teach us a lot of aspects in order to improve our palate when cooking. In brief, we can appreciate both ways of cooking; however, we have to know that it is healthier to consume natural products instead of meals that have been undergone by chemical products.

Because there is only ONE.

As we all know, when we are babies we depend on our parents in order to do all types of things, such as dress up, have a shower and even to eat. Afterwards, the more we grew up, the less we depend on them because we learn how to survive by ourselves. It is necessary to teach our children that they do not have to depend on anybody, that they have to carry on and to be strong due to life is quite hard. The next step is being an elderly person.  On that stage, we are like babies owing to we can´t depend on ourselves, so we have to depend on somebody to survive, to meet our basic needs. As I see it is that life is marvelous and sad at the same time; nevertheless, we have to live it with all our might because, as I am aware, there is only one.

Practice 4: Write a short Problem/Solution essay (around 250 words) about any issue you consider worth analysing.

Buying online is a method of purchase that has had a huge increase in the last years. As we all know, there are a lot of hackers and people who try to cheat, so we have to be careful if we are going to buy something online.

There are a lot of problems when buying online so we have to be informed before doing it. As I said in the last paragraph, there are people who try to steal money from others who buy on the Internet. Many of them sell products that they do not have. So, obviously, when they take the money they say bye and they go away without giving the product to you. There are others that put fake pictures and when you receive the product, it is not the same as they had shown you in the image.

One solution to this problem could be to buy in shops. Nevertheless, if you want to buy online, you have to be sure that the website is completely truthful. It is better if it is a prestigious firm such as amazon, due to the fact that it is almost sure that they will not cheat you, since they are well-known in the whole world and thousands of people use them. After doing that, you could ask your friends if they have bought on amazon, for instance, and you could search information about the company where you want to buy the product.

To sum up, you have to be responsible when buying on the Internet owing to the fact that there are a lot of cheaters who could steal your money. I have bought online in the last months and from my own experience I have to say that it is a reliable way of purchasing.

Practice 3: Write a short Opinion essay positionating yourself against something most people agree (but you do not).

I don´t like playing violent games owing to it is crazy to think that killing people in a game is something which makes you feel happy or funny. It is said that whether these games have the icon +18, they can not be played by people who are under 18 years old, but I do not mind this. Being realistic, it is only an icon, so I do not like these games, since violence is not a positive aspect for none.

Imagine for a moment that these games were played by children. That is one of the main and worrying problems due to children are less conscious about this topic and they believe that it is only a game. As we all know, or might know, they are only games and they are fiction, so we can not do it in our real lives. Nevertheless, some children could not think this because they are only kids without the enough knowledge to understand this. From my point of view, an 8-year-old child are not aware of the importance of violence, or the disasters that it could provoke.

So please, think about it before buying these types of games to your children because it is crazy to think that your son is going to have fun killing other people with knives, swords or guns. And the most important aspect is how some parents can believe that these games do not damage their children´s education. That is incredible to think this. To sum up, for all these reasons we have to think that violence is the worst conduct in the whole world and we must remember this little but awesome sentence: “Violence only generates violence”.

Buying on the internet; please be careful!

Buying on the Internet is a method of purchasing that has had an impressive growth in the last years. It is said that it is not advisable to buy on the Internet owing to that you could be cheated. It is true and for that reason you have to take care of it; nevertheless, it is still impossible to think that companies such as amazon are going to defrauded us. It is a prestigious company and if they did it, they would lose big amounts of money. All in all, if you want to buy something on the Internet, you must be informed of the firm where you are going to acquire the product and be sure that it is a serious company.

Advantages and disadvantages of speaking by telephone.

Speaking by telephone has a lot of drawbacks but it has many benefits too. As we all know, speaking by telephone is not an inadequate way of communication; nevertheless, when we talk with somebody, it is better and more reliable to talk with face to face and to look at the eyes of the person who is talking with you owing to that it is a sign of respect and attention to the speaker. It is said that using it we save money, since we can download free applications such as what´s up, so it is another point in its favor. To sum up, even though speaking by telephone improves our communication, it is greater to speak face to face due to the fact that it is more trustworthy and truthful.
