“The
pianist” is a film that was produced in 2002 by Roman Polansky. This film tells
the story of a family, specially focus on the life of Wlayslaw Szpilman, who is
the protagonist of the film. The plot take during the Nazi Germany´s invasion of Poland
at the outbreak of World War II. In that age, Jewish people were considered and
treated as if they weren´t humans. That sounds sad, but it is real. For them, Jewish people didn´t have any role in the society and the vast majority of German people wanted to exterminate this race. I
agree with people who says that this film is so depressing and gloomy: however, this is a real fact in the history, so we can´t exclude it. These films are made to show us
what happened in one of the most famous ages of the world. I like films
which cover the World War II, in particular “The Pianist” because it is one of
the most realistic films I had ever seen. It was a very enjoyable and
interesting film due to the fact that if you see it, you will realize which was
the mentality in that age and how Jewish people were treated. In this film you
will learn a little from the history of the World War II. It is a very heavy
film owing to the fact that there are many scenes where German soldiers kill
Jewish people without any pity. This is one of my favourite films and that´s
why I recommended you to see it. You will enjoy it!
